BEWARE! These guys like to play some nasty trick. After having paid off the full cost of Invisilign treatment then they suddenly asked us for extra few hundreds for the retainer. We thought the retainer should be included as part of the treatment but it's not! So it's like you go to a dentist to clean your teeth but you have to pay for the cost of their equipment!!

My daughter (8yrs old) needed to have her teeth extracted, both Dr Huy and Dr Cass were so patient with her. We were the last booking for the day and my daughter was very distraught about having to have her teeth extracted. My daughter was so distressed and crying but the Drs managed to calm her and 2 teeth were extracted with no issues.Dr Cass and Dr Huy spent an extra 1hr after their closing time to make sure they got the job done and that everything would be OK.I am very thankful to the Drs for taking the time to explain the process and giving her reassurance she needed. Dr Huy called the next day to make sure my daughter was OK as well, just above and beyond!!!

I have had most of my wisdom teeth taken out there and usually come here for a teeth clean. I've always had a pleasant experience: the dentists are gentle, efficient, and always very thorough - with strong attention to detail. They get the job done well.I moved away and went to another dental clinic in Double Bay - however, I noted that after a teeth clean there was still obvious tartar and plaque that remained. I returned to Mary Street to have my teeth cleaned and the dentist was able to thoroughly remove everything the other clinic had missed. My teeth finally felt clean again.I'll always come back. Thank you so much for helping me through my arduous oral journey - from complex wisdom teeth removal, to spotless teeth cleans. I'm also grateful they never try to upsell me (as so many dentists do), and instead just prescribe what is actually needed.

The new young female receptionist is rude aggressive and has no intention to help. When I have my 10 am appointment, she just told me that there were still 2 people ahead, it is 10:15am. So it means I have to wait 1 hour. So I just went back. But 10 minutes later, the dentist assistant called me it is my turn. I wonder the new receptionist just tris to get rid of customer. They did not find the right staff.

My friend who used to live in Melbourne was previously told by her dentist that she had a tiny hole in her tooth and will need fillings, which can wait because her Health Fund renews in 2 month. She came to Sydney and saw Dr Jenny at this practice. Dr Jenny took some xrays, checked her teeth and said her teeth are fine, there were no holes in any teeth. My friend told Dr Jenny that her dentist in Melbourne said there was a tiny hole, but Dr Jenny insisted that there were no holes. She then saw another dentist in Ashfield, and that dentist saw there was a hole on the tooth and did the filling for her.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

If you experience tooth sensitivity or pain or notice visible signs of decay, such as dark spots or holes on the tooth surface, you may need a dental filling. It is essential to schedule a dental examination with our experienced dentists, who will assess your teeth and recommend the appropriate treatment, including dental fillings if necessary.

At Mary St. Dental Health, we use tooth-coloured composite resin fillings, which offer excellent aesthetics and durability. Composite resin fillings are custom-made to match the natural colour of your teeth, providing a seamless blend with your smile. Additionally, they bond well with the tooth structure, creating a strong and reliable restoration.

The process of getting a dental filling is generally not painful. Before starting the procedure, we administer local anaesthesia to numb the affected area, ensuring your comfort throughout the treatment. You may feel some pressure or minor discomfort during the preparation and placement of the filling, but any pain is usually minimal and short-lived.

The longevity of dental fillings depends on various factors, such as the size of the filling, its location in the mouth, and your oral hygiene practises. With proper care, tooth-coloured composite resin fillings can last for many years. Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene habits, including brushing and flossing, can help extend the lifespan of your fillings.

Yes, after getting a dental filling, you can resume your regular eating habits once the anaesthesia wears off. However, it's advisable to avoid consuming extremely hot or cold foods and beverages for a few hours after the procedure, as your teeth may be sensitive. We will provide you with specific post-treatment instructions to ensure a smooth recovery and maintain the longevity of the filling.
